I, Guy Covington, formed RENN HAUS out of my passion and enthusiasm for high performance cars. Now all of us at RENN HAUS want to share that passion with our friends and fellow enthusiasts.
RENN HAUS is part-entrepreneur, part-factory trained technicians and 100% car enthusiasts. Our technicians have over 50 combined years of factory and on-the-job training. We have certifications for ASE Master Technician, Mercedes Technical Specialist, BMW Technician, Mercedes SLR, Mercedes G-Wagon, Mercedes Diesel and many other system specific certifications.
So from the street car, to the highly modified car, to the auto-cross car and to the track car, we have the knowledge, integrity and professionalism to provide the highest standards in quality products and services.
My philosophy is to EDUCATE, INFORM and EMPOWER each customer. First to EDUCATE them on the complete status of their car. Then to INFORM them on what needs immediate attention, what could be done but is not critical, what needs to be watched and what will be needed down the line. With this information we EMPOWER each customer to make the best decision on what repairs are to be performed.
I have enjoyed a passion for cars and particularly Porsches and Mercedes for over 35 years. After my first ride in a 1962 356 in the hills around San Francisco, I was hooked. Shortly after that ride, I took all my savings and bought a red 1963 Porsche 356B and was hooked for life. Since that first Porsche, I have owned many wonderful cars and have focused on developing my driving expertise by completing multiple Driving Schools, Driver Educations, Time Trialing and Solo Racing events. I became a PCA Certified National Driving Instructor six years ago and love teaching people how to safely handle their cars at tracks such as Sebring, Daytona and others.
My long history of forming and owning successful businesses that are known for their complete dedication to the highest professional business ethics is unquestioned. That philosophy is now reflected in RENN HAUS and culminates my dream to pursue a full time life in motor sports.
Our technicians are an integral part of RENN HAUS. They are fellow enthusiasts with the same passion. Each technician always asks himself when working on every car, “How would I do this if this were my car?” Then they apply that principle to every job. That integrity, honest communication and work ethic have created trust between RENN HAUS and the car owners, most of whom have become long-term customers and friends.
